Kevin Weekes recently talked about the Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender on the NHL Network.
Kevin Weekes addressed the current state of negotiations between Sergei Bobrovsky‘s camp and the Columbus Blue Jackets on NHL Tonight and it doesn’t sound pleasant. He said that the situation is seemingly “going down a road of no return” and that things aren’t pretty behind the scenes of the negotiations.
While he says that all his information comes from Bobrovsky’s camp and not Bobrovsky himself, it’s hard to imagine that his camp and the Wholesale jerseys
goaltender are far off in their mindsets.
Weekes then goes on to address how the netminder hasn’t performed to standard this season, but says part of it may be Bobrovsky not getting starts that he expects to get.
On NHL Tonight, Weekes had a quote that may summarize the situation to perfection. “From what I understand from the Bobrovsky camp, and not necessarily at all from Bobrovsky himself is the fact that they feel this is being mismanaged.”
As a former NHL goaltender himself, it’s hard to doubt the opinion of Kevin Weekes. It’ll certainly be interesting to see how this process plays out, but from the sounds of it this situation could end with Sergei Bobrovsky being traded sooner rather than later.
